The CIBART’s board of directors, constituting four members offers dynamic leadership to our endeavours. All members on the board come from diverse backgrounds and are achievers in their respective fields. They collectively represent the values of CIBART.

Mr. Sanjeev Vasudev, Director
(Sanjeev Vasudev has over twenty years experience in areas such as markets, communication, and ICT & SME development. He has been involved with several livelihood development projects in India for past many years.)
Ms. Sangeeta Agarwal, Director
(Sangeeta Agarwal has varied experience in research and strategy for nearly a decade. Among her contributions is a major study on small-scale industries that has contributed to knowledge about the SME sector in India. Sangeeta has authored books on the subject of market research and handled various developmental and commercial research assignments.)

Mr. Manu Mayank, Chief Executive Officer
(Manu Mayank is Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Indian Bamboo Resource & Technology (CIBART). He holds degrees in Economics, Strategic Management, and International Development Planning from Universities in India and Overseas. He has worked in different capacities in civil society organizations, Local Governments, and Development consultancies for over 7 years. He has diverse experience working on development projects in India, Australia, PNG, Vietnam, Philippines and Sri Lanka. His areas of interests are Livelihood Development, Social Infrastructure Planning, MSMEs & Economic Development, Micro Finance and Bio-energy.)

State Coordinators

Mr. Sanjeev S Karpe, KONBAC
(Sanjeev Karpe is Project Coordinator of KONBAC in Maharashtra. He leads the Livelihood, Ecological & Housing Development Programmes in the state. He has several years of livelihood and housing experience in the state. He also spearheads the Bamboo Construction Programmes of CIBART.)

Mr. Selim Reza, TRIBAC
(Selim Reza is Project Coordinator of TRIBAC and Gandhi Gram in Tripura. He leads the Livelihood Development Programme in the state. He has over 11 years of diverse and rich experience in the field of Social and Community Development, and has previously worked with Organizations like the World Bank, Prayas, and World Vision of India among others. He holds Post Graduate Degrees in Social Work (MSW), and Banking Administration from Aligarh Muslim University, India. He has authored several articles, papers and Book Chapters on Rural Livelihoods, Tribal Development, Gender and Bamboo.)
Mr. Nehemiah Panmei, TAMBAC
Mr. Vinod Kumar Pandey, HBDC
(Vinod Pandey is the project lead at HBDC in Himachal Pradesh and leads Livelihood Development Programme in the state. He has over 4 years of experience working in the field of Integrated Rural Development. Vinod Holds Degrees in Economics and MBA in Rural Development. His areas of interests are Rural Economic development, Ecological Security and Socio-Economic Research.)
Product Design & Development
Ms. Rebecca Reubens, Product Design Advisor
(Ms. Rebecca Reubens is an Industrial Designer from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, who also has a background in Accessory Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology. She has worked towards strategic design for development initiatives for sustainable craft based and industrial design and development, skill training and capacity building, enterprise development based on market and resource assessment, and policy planning initiatives for over ten years. She has worked towards sustainable livelihoods through with the International Network for Bamboo and Rattan for over five years in action research projects in India, Philippines, China, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and Uganda. Her areas of interest are design, livelihood development and working with indigenous crafts and communities.)
Mr. Preetam Rajkhowa, Technology Development & Adaptation
(Preetam Rajkhowa is heading the Technology Development & Adaptation Centre at Guwahati. He is an innovator and designs new technologies and machines which can be used in mechanization of the Bamboo based MSMEs. He holds Degrees in Chemical Engineering from Banaras Hindu University, India and University of Michigan, USA, and has over 35 years of rich experience both in India and abroad.)

Dr. K. S. Revathy Rugmini, Advisor-Program Development
(Revathy Rugmini is Program Development Advisor with CIBART. She has over 15 years of rich experience in the fields of poverty alleviation, women empowerment, community mobilisation & SHGs, M & E, and SME development, and has worked with government, non-government, bilateral, multilateral and consultancies. She holds Doctorate Degree, and degrees in Social Work (MSW), and Law (MBL). Her areas of interests are Micro-enterprise development, M & E, Organizational development, and gender Development.)

Mr. Arun Kumar, Documentation Coordinator
(Arun Kumar has been working as an information coordinator and editor for the past 25 years with various national (National Council of Science Museums, Centre for Indian Bamboo Resource and Technology) and international (ESCAP Asia-Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology, UNDP Technology Information Promotion System, International Network for Bamboo and Rattan) organizations in India and abroad. His core competencies include information research, editing, information packaging and publications. He has developed house styles for various organizations, and helped form their publication policies. He was one of the reviewers of the global report on the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment.)

Ms. Uma Swamy, Documentation Officer
(Uma Swamy has experience of 15 years in work related to documentation, production of features and documentaries. In addition to working with key departments in the government, she has worked with organizations of repute in the corporate and the social sector. She began her career with Newstrack, the video news magazine of India Today and went on direct short films; work on strategy, planning and implementation of projects related to communication, advocacy and information management. Agencies she has worked with include GMR, Centre for Science and Environment, INBAR and UNIFEM, Ministry of External Affairs, Container Corporation of India, and Department of Tourism.)
