Concept

The natural tube form of the bamboo is kept in a simple way. With very few waste, one simple cut in the middle gives an abstract, unusual form for an egg holder. Through the cut, you can see the bottom of the egg. Three different colors make them a set, which is storable in a small space. The cut surfaces are easy to paint.

Specifications

The inside diameter is 4cm. This is the standard measurement for an egg holder. The wand should be thicker than this prototype, to give the colored edge more body.
Two layers of paint are necessary.

Developing ideas

Other variations are possible in height and painting. A picture shows a egg holder consisting of four layers, glued together in a chaotic way.
